The original goal for
GEAC was to create graphics for software documentation and training
materials and icons for the human resources, payroll, and reporting
applications. During the preliminary work on the project, we determined
that graphics and icons were only part of the company's design needs.
GEAC needed to visually
establish and protect their brand with a consistent look and feel
across all applications and packaging deliverables. They extended
the original scope of the project to include a company-wide assessment
of current brand collateral.
Desert Wolfe Designs
interviewed representatives from the Marketing, Development, Education,
Packaging, Distribution, and Information Design departments to determine
what elements worked and did not work for each department in their
existing brand plan and imagery.
Based on this data,
we developed a solution that served multiple areas of the company
and enabled GEAC to realize significant savings of anticipated collateral
costs.
